Who Can Participate?
To ensure fair and compliant participation, OKX has established clear eligibility criteria:
- All users must complete KYC identity verification to join and claim rewards.
- Only main accounts are eligible; sub-accounts cannot participate.
- Individual traders with an account tier of VIP 6 or above are excluded.
- Users from restricted jurisdictions (as outlined in OKX’s Terms of Service) are not eligible.
- Team Leaders must be registered affiliates from eligible regions including parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and select countries in Central Asia and Latin America—excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mongolia, North Korea, and Japan.
Each team must have at least 10 members by August 8, 2024, or it will be dissolved. Dissolved team members will be reassigned to other eligible teams and can still compete individually.
Trading Requirements and Qualification Criteria
Success in the competition hinges on meeting two core conditions: asset qualification and trading volume.
Asset Qualification
Your main trading account must reach a balance of at least 100 USDT at any point during the competition period. Once this threshold is met, the P&L Period begins for you and continues until the end of the competition.
Minimum Trading Volume
During the Heats round, participants must achieve a USDT perpetual contract trading volume of ≥10,000 USDT. Failure to meet this requirement invalidates your score and excludes you from leaderboards.

Advancing to the Finals
Performance in the Heats determines who moves forward:
- The top 15% of teams by P&L percentage advance to the Finals.
- If fewer than 50 teams qualify under the 15% rule, the cutoff will expand to ensure at least 50 finalists.
- A fixed prize pool of 150,000 USDT will be distributed among finalists based on their final P&L rankings.
Teams that qualify may opt out—only the Team Leader can make this decision. In such cases, the next best-performing team automatically advances. Additionally, a qualified Team Leader may nominate another OKX affiliate as successor.
Individuals who fail to meet volume requirements during the Heats will be removed from their team and cannot progress to the Finals.
How P&L Is Calculated
Understanding the Profit and Loss formula is crucial for strategic trading:
P&L% = P&L / (Initial Equity + Total Deposit Amount) × 100%
Where:
- P&L = Unrealized P&L + Realized P&L – Initial Unrealized P&L
- Initial Equity: The USDT balance in your main trading account within the first five minutes after qualifying.
- Total Deposit Amount: Includes USDT transferred from non-trading accounts, gains from spot trades, and contract vouchers during the P&L Period.
- Initial Unrealized P&L: The value of open USDT perpetual swap positions at the start of your P&L Period.
⚠️ Note: Transfers in and out of your trading account affect calculations. For example:
- Transferring 1,000 USDT into your trading account counts as a deposit.
- Withdrawing and re-depositing the same amount still counts as a single 1,000 USDT deposit.
Valid Trades and Eligible Contracts
Only USDT perpetual swap trades count toward competition metrics. Trading volume must come from your own funds. Platform incentives like rebate cards or experience coupons do not count, except for futures credit rewards earned via registration during the campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I join multiple teams?
No. Each user can only be enrolled in one team at a time. Switching teams is allowed before the competition starts; afterward, approval from the new Team Leader is required.
What happens if my team doesn’t meet the minimum member requirement?
Teams with fewer than 10 members by August 8 will be dissolved. Members will be randomly reassigned to other eligible teams and can still compete individually.
Are sub-account trades counted?
No. Only activity from the main trading account qualifies. Sub-account performance is not included in any calculations.
How is team P&L calculated?
Team P&L% is based on the average P&L% of the top 10 performing traders in the team who meet asset and volume criteria. If fewer than 10 qualify, the average is still divided by 10.
Can I compete individually if I’m not in a team?
Yes. Even without joining a team, you can participate in the Individual Trading Competition as long as you meet the asset and volume requirements.
Do I need to be a new user to win?
No. Both new and existing users can win prizes if they meet eligibility criteria. New users also receive bonus Futures Credits upon qualification.
